Young athletes rely on the booster’s support to make things happen in regards to the financial support needed to get state-of-the-art equipment that gives them the competitive edge.

Hothead Sports desires to team up with your local high school booster club to “Defeat the Heat” by making the decision to equip every player with the HOT system. The level of safety that protects players when heat is at its deadliest is priceless.

Every parent wants the best for their child and when it comes to safety on the football field, overheating and deadly heat strokes are enemy number one. Now parents can become an advocate for defeating the heat during their children's practices, scrimmages and even games.

By working with your local booster club, many parents will find that they can contribute to the safety of their football players by teaming with Hothead Sports to make sure every athlete is equipped with the HOT system. Many parents are actively involved in support of their local football programs. Those parents who are business owners, leaders in their community, and those that have relationships through their employer can create sponsorships to "Defeat the Heat."

FACT:
Heat stroke is the most dangerous of the heat-related illnesses. If not treated immediately, it can be fatal. The exact cause of heat stroke isn't clear, and unlike heat exhaustion, it strikes suddenly and with little warning. When the body cooling systems fails, the core temperature rises quickly. Signs of heat stroke include a core body temperature above 40.5°C/105°F, hot, dry skin, lack of sweating, and a very fast pulse, and mental status changes.
